Visiting Archers

As an Archery GB affiliated club, we are happy to welcome visiting archers. We ask that the form below is filled in prior to the session so we have a record of who is attending. Please also speak to the club to ensure there is space on the session you are thinking of attending. The cost to attend is £7 per session.

Our range is a shared sports field so it is imperative that we keep control of any lost arrows. As such, we also do not allow only carbon arrows on the field

As a club, when shooting outdoors, we run a 252 Scheme. This scheme is designed to help archers improve their skills and accuracy, and to minimise time spent looking for arrows. As a visiting archer, we trust that you will shoot distances that you are comfortable with. If you appear to be struggling at any given distance and this is impacting on the session (as we will of course assist in looking for arrows) we may ask you to move to a shorter distance target.

When attending at the rugby club, as you enter the site, crossing the bridge, follow the road round to the right, then to the left as you pass the club house. Follow this road all the way to the end of the carpark, where you will see a play park in front of you. Park in this end section. Enter the field past the large grey metal gate, heading past the shipping containers to the end of our range (what3words: https://w3w.co/thick.sticks.large)

If you have provided a mobile number on your submitted form, we will communicate in the first instance via WhatsApp to confirm receipt and to provide a means to contact us with a quick response. We can also provide payment details if you wish to do this online before attending.

Regarding equipment, you will need to provide this unless you wish to hire kit. We can provide a bow, arrows, quiver, arm guard and ground stand for £3 per session. If you are using your own arrows, in accordance with our field lease, we do not allow all carbon arrows.

Archers Details

Please tell us about any pre-existing medical conditions/medications that may impact on your ability to shoot safely. These could include problems with sight, hearing, physical limitations, missing limbs, previous injuries & long-term conditions. Failure to disclose could invalidate your insurance to participate. Please detail below

Please enter the details of someone who is not going to also going to be attending sessions at the same time as you.

Photo Release

Milton Keynes Archery Club may wish to take photographs or video of attendees participating in archery activities for the purposes of promotion and marketing of the club. Please confirm below if you consent to this. (You may opt out or retract consent at any time and you may bring it to the club’s attention should you wish to object to your photograph being taken on any specific occasion).

GDPR & Attendance tracking

Milton Keynes Archery Club retains attendance records and associated contact details for insurance purposes & also in case of an emergency, such as a fire alarm at the range. All club records are retained within GDPR.

Communication
The club mostly uses WhatsApp group to communicate with archers regarding session availability etc.
I am happy for my mobile phone number to be used to communicate with me for arranging attendance at sessions
